Leech: Your problem with Rune is that you didn't patch the game. It will have no textures even in WIn98 if you don't patch it.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

      HOW??

      Oh my god! PeTe!!!!
      What did you do?
How did you get CS and HL to work with this crappy card I used to love so much? I have a Marvel G400-TV, and I cannot get OpenGL to work in ANY game. How did you install the drivers and all of that? If you can't post it here, could you reply to me via email?

If I cannot get this card to work anymore, I will have to buy me a GeForce3 so I can play games again, and the nVidia Personal Cinema, which is like a Road Runner board. It hooks up to the GF3 and sits in a PCI slot, has a BOB, too. However, I would love to save the $500 that is bound to cost me and just get working drivers.

        Hello?

        *BUMP*
        So... PeTe... you still alive?
You never did reply to my post, man... what's up?
Maybe you just haven't checked back in this thread or something... well, I hope you come back to it if I bump it up to the top of the list.

Well, the wait is over for me. I finally just went and bought a Radeon 64DDR. Sure it's not the newest thing out there, and of course INSTANTLY I could tell that the 2D quality wasn't as clear. I just bought this card kind of as a stepping stone for Matrox's next best thing. That's why I didn't wait an extra week or two for the 7500 or 8500. The main reason I changed now is because I wanted to be able to play Soldier of Fortune in Linux. With the my marvel G400, the textures would turn blue all over. I guess it's just a buggy implementation of DRI, or perhaps not. Who knows. I put my Marvel in my mother's computer, and plopped her WinTV card in mine. Linux detected the WinTV card out of the box, whereas with the Marvel I had to download the CVS and compile the drivers, which I also had to load up each time I went into linux, if I wanted to watch TV. So far I'm quite happy with the Radeon. Though much like the G400, Return to castle wolfenstein didn't work with the drivers that came with XP, but ATI has already released drivers for all Radeon cards for XP. They're quite stable too. haven't had any problems with them so far. Though I do find it funny that PowerDVD will work in 1600x1200x32bit but the ATI DVD player will not. Anyhow, good luck to everyone. I'll still hang out here, because I want a Matrox card again!!!!! The blurry text does start to hurt the eyes after a while. Pretty much the instant I was in GDM on linux I could tell the video just wasn't as sharp. It's a shame. Oh well, this card will go into my woman's machine as I start building that. And I'll get me another Matrox card.

Here's a fix for RTCW on the G400-TV in WindowsXP

It isn't perfect...but at least it runs now. Though it maybe too late for you. Check out my earlier post here :-
