  • Ghost Recon Demo on the G400

    Looks splendid as usual.

1024x768x32bit. High detail was a little too much on my 1015mhz Duron/G400. Medium detail all around worked just fine.

Should be out in retail stores this week.

Electric Amish can you tell more about the game. Does it stack up to the OFP and IGI?

Sorry, I've never played OFP or IGI.

I can tell you that it's improved from Rogue Spear.

I played OPF and Ghost Recon has nicer graphics, but runs a bit slower on my machine. Seems to be a little tougher then OPF. Overall seems to be a pretty nice program and I'll be getting it when it comes out

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

My G400 doesn't seem to do any mipmap'ing in either Rogue Spear or Ghost Recon. Did any of you notice this on ur rigs?

I don't know what Mip-Mapping actually does. So I probably wouldn't have noticed it.

I got the game yesterday and it's very good. The character models are nicely made and look real and so does the movement, for example when a soldier gets injured he moves slower and you can see he is hurt. I like the game but think the story is sooo old, fighting russians again etc.

Just been playing this, my system is pretty lowly right now, CPU and Mobo bottleneck, the point being, I can still run 800x600x16, medium detail on some things. Either way, I love the game, Veteran is just right, and once I've aced a mission, Elite is a nice challenge.

Very good game, I think the idea of russians, as said above, is a bit overplayed, but I don't know the story that well yet and overplayed... maybe, good, for sure.
