Just tried to playon Voodoo Graphics... Strange thing, but it FASTER than G450! At that bottleneck in mountains it shows minimum 5 fps, when G450 falls to zero, and about 15 with normal textures. At the normal places Voodoo was faster 1.2-1.5 times. Very strange =-\
Also itried to slowdown CPU. At 300Mhz game slows down about 1.5 times comparing to 540Mhz.

Jorden, im pretty sure that Novdid is talking about that ATI only shipping cards to US.. Cant find ANY retail 8500 in Finland.. last cards arrived to shops 2.5-3 weeks ago.. and those were allready ordered, so people like me who ordered my card just 2 weeks ago, are just waiting ATI to DO something.

Sure i could buy a OEM version, but because the prise is allmost exactly the same, i want a hand picked RETAIL core. =)

Like allways when i start bashing away at something, the next minute i hear something good about it.

Like in this case i was complaining that there are NO Radeon RETAILS.. anywhere.. and i got a mail that 01.12 there is a shipment coming.. still hoping that i can get my hands on that Radeon saturday. That would give me 1.5-2 full days of tweaking time. Guessing after that i have my machine back up with FULL speed and stability.

Ill do some bechies with RTWC tomorrow with my G400MAX, hoping to 2x-4x fps in Wolf with the Radeon.. well ill try to post those fps scores in this tread...

Even so, find a friendly American on the forums and ask him to send you one of the American ATI 8500's in return for your cash

Btw, is the ATI Radeon 8500 (Club 3D) an OEM or the Retail? I've got it on a Dutch reseller site for about 310 USD.

Many sites here in Sweden list the board but they say that they probably only can deliver after x-mas. If you fellow americans can point out a good reseller (online that is) that ship internationally I would appreiciate it.

I have already tried to find a good site through Pricewatch, but it's very hard to find a reseller that ships outside of US.

After some thought, no need to bother...I won't die if I don't get it before christmas...

Just a wild guess here, but im pretty sure that Club 3d is a OEM card, meaning 250/250 clocked radeon. If it was a ATI RETAIL, no point writing anything there, right ? Allso there is 2 models of 7500, one Club 3d and one By ATI.

Got a email yesterday, that there is a shipment of RETAIL radeons coming to Finland today or tomorrow.. So MAYBE ill get mine by saturday... still hopefull. Would really be nice to get that card by saturday... 2 full days of tweaking time..

Tried to play it this weekend with some friends. I thought it was pretty lame. Also, it kept locking up on my G400/Win2k machine...

No problems for me.

Weird I don't seem to be having any problems running RTCW. In fact I run it at 1024*768 in 32bits as well as having FSAA 4x /w filter and using Trilinear filtering.

Might be that I have a faster video card...

ATi Shortage

Ohhh, and we're also having problems in Canada getting ATi 8500's stocked. It seems ATi is sending all it's cards down south to the USA..which is very lame seeing as they originate in Canada and should supply it's country first (Markham, Ontario).

I think its a pretty cool game.
Runs nicely on a 1.2gig Athlon with a radeon 8500.

I can't get it to do much on a 1.4gig Athlon with my G400MAX though... poor thing crawls.

i'm in the same boat... my 1.33gig Athlon and G400MAX don't like it... while i have almost beaten it, it still is barely playable...

probably gonna try to pick up a radeon 8500 next month if i can...
