G400 and latest drivers win98 (v6.51)
Hi,
I just went through uninstalling my whole system including format, because I couldnt find a reason why my games freeze on me. So I reinstalled piece by piece controlling every aspect of new features and singled out the newest drivers for G400 to be the problem.
I'm running Win98 on Athlon XP 1600 , ecsus board, 512 RAM, G400, Soundblaster Live
Got me 4+subwoofer speaker sys and things look great!
And then the games start to freeze with this annoying high-pitch buzzing noise! I blame the sound first, but then after removing the card I still get the freeze.
So this is my rant on G400 newest drivers.
PS. Directx 8 is on, and games include Stronghold, Ghost Recon, Silent Hunter II, Alien vs Predator 2.
So anyone here with same problem?
