I have a G200 card in Windows 98SE. Issue: any DOS games such as Warcraft2 default to 60Hz refresh rate. Ugh. I asked around at the Matrox forums if anybody had a solution, and I wasn't satisfied with the answer I got. So I poked around the internet, and found this:
Inside this self-extracting EXE is a file called 85HZ.com that will finally let you run your old DOS games at 85Hz within Windows! Yeah! It is supposed to be for G400 cards, but it works great with my G200 card at home and at work! Somebody post this in the files section!
It only affects 640x400 and 800x600 resolutions, but that's OK since there aren't many DOS games that use anything higher.
If others could try it under other OS's and different video cards, and post thier experiences here, it would be appreciated!
