Just curious what games are good with my G400 max? I have a K7M with 512 MB SDRAM and a 900 mhz T-bird Slot-A. I don't play a huge number of games, but I'd like to see whats decent to play, given that the G400 is older and not the fastest card. Looking for all kinds of games, but mainly 3D first person adventure shootem ups.

on a G450 - Black & White plays just fine.
But at the moment what is really taking up some time and bringing back LOTS of memories is... a reverse-engineered version of the original BBC Elite, called Elite: The New Kind.

well, all the quakes and unreals play nice. If you are asking for insane framerates, both jedi knight and forsaken qualify.
i know these are old, but especially jedi knight is worth playing, it is a classic.
hmm! just renembered glquake sucks on a matrox card, last time i tried it, donĀ“t know if they have fixed it though.Last edited by TdB; 8 March 2002, 06:47.This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

Thinking about older games, I would recommend Dungeon Keeper II. It runs fine on a G400, the graphics still look very nice (even bump mapped water) and you can pick it up for under $10 (US).
It's not a first person shooter, but more of a real time strategy game. But it combines stategy with first person fighting -- it's really quite fun. (Made by the same guy that made Black & White and Populous). My rig: P4 3.0GHz; Asus P4C800E; 1GB DDR 3200; AIW Radeon 9800 Pro; WD 120GB SATA; Plextor DVD burner; Liteon DVD reader; Audigy 2ZS; Logitech Z560 4.1; NEC FE991SB
Kid's rig: AMD XP 1600+; 512MB ram; GF4 Ti4600; Maxtor 60GB; Plextor CD burner; Sony DVD reader; SB Live; Cambridge 4.1 speakers; NEC FE991SB
