  • Should i?

I currently have a GeForce 2 MX in my box. I am thinking of upgrading, and previously have used a G200, G400, and like them.

What I want to know is, will I see any sort of performance increase if I purchase a G550?

The machine is an Ath 1700+ btw, and it definately maxs out the GeForce.

I use my machine mostly to play UnrealTournament, and other 3D games - should I just wait for the mythical Parphelia to make an appearance?

Whatever I do, this box must be capable of playing UT2 and U2 when they hit the shelves

    Cheers for any comments...

A G550 would be a performance downgrade, maybe you should wait and see if Matrox actually launches something, and if so if it's competitive and within your pricerange.
