    Morning,
Ok first off let me say, I love Matrox! The Matrox Mystique 220 was the first 3D card I ever bought, what with Destruction Derby bundled with it! what a great card

Having said that, I always felt they lacked in the 3D area, I mean 2D was exceptional, 2nd to none. even my old Mystique 220 was able to compete with the Viper 550 which I got to replace it in 2d. Even to date, I still have it, and used to use it for a secondary graphics card running a dual monitor setup.

Anyhow on to my question, I currently have two options, I have a Asus V6800 (Geforce 256 32MB DDR ) card and also a Matrox G450 Dual Head (32mb). Now, I'd like a dual head setup again so I'm thinking about swapping out the geforce for the g450.

What I’d like to know is, how well does the g450 prove in games? currently my geforce isn't to bad, running GTA3 adequately. Has anybody got the G450 and play games? If so what drivers do you use, have you over clocked it at all, what other utilities do you use?

I know a lot of questions, but I really want to get back to Matrox!

Basically you can only try it and see how you like it. The G450 unfortunately is the slowest out of the G400, G450 and G550. It might be good enough, but your Geforce will probably be faster. Just get the latest drivers from matrox's web site and you should be fine.

No question, keep the GF. The G450 is terrible at games.
      Cheers, Reckless

Thanks for your replies!, I've decided to hold out on swaping the graphics cards out, keeping the geforce in. but I'm gonna get that new Perilia512 (spelling!?) when its released! I even have the £300 notes spare

        thanks again
