I've had lag issues with the server too. Funny thing is, the server is in TX right?? But I can go to any other server, say if there is one in NY, and get a ping in the low hundreds or even double digits. Aggghhh....I've even tried adjusting my netspeed out the wazooo (did one time and got fragged 30 or 40 times when messing with it on the [MU] server). What's the deal? Is the server kinda old?System Specs:

Also when you get into UT open the "Find Internet Games" window, then click on the "Chat" tab.
Change the IRC Server to IRC.EnterTheGame.com (Or the IP of the server that I use is 195.193.163.11). Change the Default Channel to #[MU]. Hit Connect and you will be in the chat room with us. I am always there through Trillian so you will know that you are in the right place if you see Pneumatic.

I'm up for a game too. I have to study for an interview tonight so no going out for me. Gonna have to blow off some steam, so why not? I just need to figure out how to get a lower ping. It's even kinda high when no one else is in there. Grrrr...and it isn't even that far from me. Is there anything else I can do?? It's not the connection. Should I try to assign some DNS servers that are in TX or something? Right now they are dynamic on my settings.System Specs:

I've been getting really wierd pings too. If I run a trace it's fine all the way to the server (which doesn't respond to pings BTW). But when I get in game it often goes over 2k! Once it was up over 10k! Nothing like being 2-10 seconds out of date in a game that split second reactions are critical.

Be aware that if you are playing during the day, there is actual business going on on the server. There are several libraries that are run from that server so sometimes things could get sketchy if they are downloading or uploading something. Weekends and evenings should be (and have been for me) ok.

Buddman I have no idea how you can get that kinda ping. I live in Ottawa and I seem to be able to get around 100ms... What kinda connection do ya have....Have you set the connection speed in the games settings under the preferences then network.... try somthing like a T1 connection if you have Highspeed if not then that would be the reason.What was the error?
