  • MotoGP on Parhelia

I'm undecided on the motion blur - it does look cool, but it's a bit unrealistic!

Here's some eye candy for ya:

1280x960x32 'full screen special effects aa' (4xFSAA)

And just to show you the different FAA makes:

Look at the buildings in these two pics (esp the blue bulding and the yellow rocket shaped thing behind it)

is that motionblur a 4xFSAA effect only, like the 3dfx t-buffer?
are you using anisotropic filtering in those shots?
      looks nice
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

Yes - the motionblur is done by the game engine itself, and you HAVE to set the AA to their full screen special effects which is a damn shame as I'd like to see the motion blur when using 16x FAA.

Also, anisotropic filtering was turned on, but the game itself, after you build up speed changes the textures used for the ground to blurred ones as shown int he pic above. When standing still, or going real slow, you see a detailed ground.

The blur looks stupid in my opinion.

Ah you mean how do you play? Well you press forward to move forwards, and left and right to turn.

Ahhh sorry, you mean how well does it play? Perfectly smooth with FAA, and nearly perfectly smooth with the blurred 4xFSAA when there's lots of other bikes on screen.

              (sorry)

I haven't played the game or witnessed any blurring 3D tech. I suppose a still doesn't really tell you much about the effectiveness of these techniques.

                    What is the forward key?

                    APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED. TIT.

Does it play ok with motion blur on? Or do you notice something "wrong"? (for want of a better word)

It plays fine with motion blur, if you like it, but to me it's a bit unrealistic!
