  • Surround gaming question/problems!!!

Alright I just ran JDK2 in surround gaming mode, got a few problems. During cutscenes everyones head is cut off, kind of funny watching actually. Also in game got these weird white lines around everything. I can see exactlly were all the textuers are, begin and end. Weird. Any ideas why this is happening?

When the application quit my entire desktop was white and I could not do anything. Except launch start from the keyboard, the taskbar was gone so was all my icons. The only way I was able to switch between programs was using the Alt-Tab.

Also is Matrox going to make a configurator tool to make it more easy to setup games for surround gaming?

    System Specs:
    Amd Athlon 2000+ MP (dual)
    2GIGS DDRAM
    MSI K7-D Master 760-MPX plus
    Adaptec 39160 SCSI Card
    Seagate Cheetah 15k 17gigs U160
    Seagate Cheetah 15k 36gigs U160 (dual)
    Creative Sound Blaster Audgiy Platinum
    Lite-ON DVD
    Plextor 40x CD-rw

    Thanks.
P.S. Reef demo looks amazing! Pictures does not do it justice, IG3 looks outrageous to and it runs smooth as slik on the P using 1024*768 surround gaming.

I got it to work, the problem is when I use 10-bit color the game will run but everything is real distorted. Run's everything I have thrown at it smooth as silk, only thing I have noticed is it takes a little longer then a GF4 to load worlds, and such. However I have not had one in game slow down yet. Surround gaming is fun, takes a while to get used to seeing around you.

Parhelia Monitor setup for Surround Gaming?

Anyone else tried surround gaming? Have any suggestions on how to position the monitors to make the distortion(only word I can think of) between the three monitors? What I mean is the textuers looking taller on left and right monitor.....something like that. If you have one you probally know what I mean. Any suggestions?

I am thinking about taking off the stands the monitors are on to make all them completly level with one another. Man I would kill for 3 Apple Cinema Displays right now
