With my system (listed below) in TFC (don't play CS), I run at 1024x768, with the game visuals cranked up, and 16xFAA. I usually run 70-80 fps, peaking at 99, with lows in the 30s-40s during insane action.
Others with faster systems get a solid 99fps with similar settings.
Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s
In my exitement i forgot to post any information. My sytem is :
Asus p4s333 mainboard
Intel PIV 1.8@2.4
512 DDR
Asus ti 4600(current)
I want a Parhelia primarily because of the 2d quality but i under no circumstance want performance less than say a geforce 2 pro. I need constant 99 fps(with the odd smokegrenade and INSANE action causing slowdown of course). The performance of a Geforce 2 GTS is ok for my 3d needs. Can the Parhelia equal that?
No one here playing CS on a Parhelia The Retail will be available for me to buy in 2 days but i would rather not spend 3900 dkr (450 us$) on a gfx card not fast enogh. Please some reply.
Thats just the res and colourdepth i have gotten used to play at.. thats on a 21" sony f520. I just wanted a Parhelia for the nice 2d and hopefully its fast enough for my cs needs(has to be or i wont buy it).
Im positive that the Parhelia will go well beyond the speed and performance of a GeForce2 GTS. I am in the middle of upgrading a lab and the card we are using is the GeForce2 GTS, the Parhelia scores way higher than the GTS on 3dmark, to say the least. More than double the score. (approx 3300vs approx 7000) And that is on a P4 1.6ghz/256MB DDR. You wont be disappointed with the P Playing games on the P is so much more fun than on the GTS.

Im also pretty sure the Parhelia will be more than enough for CS. But i was just looking for someone to tell me it will run fine I will order one but keep my ti 4600 just to be on the safe side.
