  • G400 and Morrowind

Ok, got my new computer, installed my old G400, bought a copy of Morrowind, finally found some time to install it and run it for 10 minutes.

Problem: I get corrupted textures (?) on doors. It's like missing triangles that start to appear on the door once I move closer.

    Specs:

    Morrowind with last U.S patch (1.1 605 ?)
G400 vanilla with latest Matrox drivers (5.84)
    Win2k SP2 DirectX 8.1
    Asus A7V333, 1GB Transcend 333Mhz, Athlon 1800+

Nothing is overclocked and everything is at default except for view distance in the morrowind settings which I changed from 50% to around 80%.

By the way, I didn't check what my framerate is, but it really sucks

Have you tried turning on 32bit z-buffer in powerdesk?

      Hmmm...
I'm not certain, but I think I did that right after installing my G400. It's part of the usual tweaking I do with the PD (32 bit z and pixel touch hot keys)

Dog, it's a problem of Zbuffer, it does the same to me, why care about it?

You are not supposed do spend your time looking at doors, there are a lot of other more interesting things to do
Sat on a pile of deads, I enjoy my oysters.

Apparently I did forget the 32bit Z, it fixed the problem.
