  • CliffyB Talks About UT2003

Here's a pretty interesting presentation of UT2003 narrated by CliffyB. It seems pretty recent... Epic Workshop It's a pretty big download - about 73MB and plays about 45 minutes.

He talks about Adrenaline, double jumps, and wall jumps. The video also shows some graphic affects that aren't in the leaked game that's going around, as well as some additional maps... including the new Facing Worlds. Also interesting demonstration of the translocator with it's onboard camera system.

    Cool!

Thanks for the (working) link Beezer. I'd seen a link to a site with the movie elsewhere, but the link was dead.

Of course, I have to wait until I get home to download it and watch it, but I hope it finally answers the question about the adrenaline pills. Wall jumps? An onboard camera system in the translocator? Looks like there's quite a bit of other stuff I'm gonna learn too.
    "..so much for subtlety.."

    System specs:
    Gainward Ti4600
    AMD Athlon XP2100+ (o.c. to 1845MHz)

They also had a pretty good demonstation of Karma physics (and the rag doll death effects) which doesn't seem to be enabled in the leaked version.
Also, after seeing them demo a map called Slaughterhouse (chunks of meat hanging everywhere), I did some snooping in the map directory. To my surprise, I saw that map as well as many other maps (including Phobos2) that don't show up in the menu of the game. You can actually access them by double clicking the file while in windows explorer. The game loads and goes directly to the map!

Here's some screenshots of Phobos2 and Slaughterhouse...
