I have a strange feeling that NWN was written for Nvidia (coz i can run it smoothly on a TNT2Ultra) and was patched for ATi but the other companies had been forgotten.
I have the same black screen using a Voodoo3 2000 card even though it had no problems running D2 or Warcraft3 using the underground drivers (original support long gone).
May need to wait for a patch for NWN to support other manufacturers cards.

doh! looks like it must be something to do with my setup then! I have tried re-installing the game three times! Looks like I will have to do a reformat and see if that sorts out the problem.

          Thanks

It would help a lot if Top cat could post some sys specs. What OS etc, etc.

                  I had the 582 and 584beta.
Not yet tried with the 585.
