  • OpenGL and 16xFAA?

    Howdy,

So on a Parhelia, are we going to get 16x FAA in OpenGL? I was playing CS and OpenGL is by far better except for the fact it doesn't use FAA. Dirext X has with FAA is sweet and all, but there are lines between the blockes in the wall like you can see the wire frame.

    Just wondering,
    Andrew

P.S. 2100 XP 1024x768 maxed out I get 60-99 FPS in both DirectX and OpenGL
nForce2 MX intergrated video is actually pretty darn good, but I do miss 16xFAA!?!? Way to go nVidia.

    MSI nForce2

FAA works fine in OpenGL. Don't know what problems you are having...

You just need to set FAA to always on through Powerdesk-HF rather than at applications request.

Yes, I have 16X FAA on always... like I said, it works in D3D but not OpenGL thats why I am a little confused.

Is there a setting in my config for HalfLife/Counter Strike that I need?

        Thanks,
        Andrew

Strange, the into is 16xAA, but when the game starts it not.

                Hi all,

I figured it out, it was the refresh lock program that I was using to bump my refresh in Half Life from 60 Hz to 85 Hz. Once I uninstalled it, the 16xFAA was fine.

                Thanks for everyones help,
                Andrew
