Just simply copy the save game folder with the save game you want and copy it across to the new "Save" Folder.

Eg. I want ALL the save games. Their location is in

    H:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save

I just copy that "save" folder rather than indiviual folders inside to the new location.

    D:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save

If I want any individual save files, just copy that folder/s (they have the save game name shown behind the numbers), and copy over to the new "save" folder.

Eg. I want the "killed vaxal" save game. I copy the save game in the save folder named "000000011-killed vaxal" located at

    H:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save\

To the new save folder at

    D:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save

Multiplayer save games are in a different folder.

        No Problem.

And should anyone be interested. This is the same with the other Infinity Engine games released so far. That is, Baldur's Gate, Tales of the Sword Coast, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn, Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter, and Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal.

Neverwinter Nights (Aurora Engine) apply an almost similar pattern. Just copy the entire save folder for all saves, or one of the individual save folders inside, to the new location. (If individual, copy into the new save folder at the destination).

Yes, I do have all those games. And played them all.

Just for newcomers to these games.

Baldur's Gate save games can be copied over to another Baldur's Gate, or Tales of the Sword Coast, or Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn, or Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal installed machine and continue from there. Other games not listed will not work with these save games.

Tales of the Sword Coast can be copied over to another Tales of the Sword Coast, Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn, or Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal installed machine and continue from there. Other games not listed will not work with these save games.

Planescape: Torment save games can only be copied to another machine with Planescape: Torment installed and work. Other games will not work with them.

Icewind Dale save games can be copied over to another Icewind Dale, or Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter installed machine. Other games will not work with them.

Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn save games can be copied over to another Baldur's Gate II Shadows of Amn, or Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal installed machine. Other games will not work with these save games.

Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter save games will work with another Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter installed machine only.

Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal save games will only work with another Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal installed machine only.

Neverwinter Nights save games can be copied over to any other machine with Neverwinter Nights installed. If you are playing a downloaded module, that new machine must also have those modules installed, otherwise it won't work.

          Have fun.
