  • widescreen displays in multi-monitor gaming

    Hello,

Still considering a Parhelia to complete my next upgrade, I have a question concerning wide screen displays (as the Sony FW-900).

Can one use this monitor in a surround gaming setup, e.g. [-][--][-] where [--] is the widescreen monitor ? Is it possible to achieve this without black borders left and right (I don't think so, but I wanted to make sure).

Is it possible to use 2 displays for gaming, e.g.
[-][--] where the left monitor runs in 1280x1024 and the right one in 1600x1024 ? The middle of the image would then not fall between the two displays. (I also doubt this one, but I wanted to make sure).

Surround gaming only works when in a stretched mode multi-display. So all displays would need to be at the same resolution...

Thanks, I feared this was a limitation...
(probabely the same problem in the dual-monitor config)
