  • Return to castle wolfenstein?

I was thinking about putting castle wolfenstein back on, I`ve heard that the Parhelia has some performance issues with this game can anyone give me some pointers on what to do about it?

How come the parhelia seems to have problems/issues with all Quake 3 Engine powered games?

    Thanks

Just don't play with GigaColour turned on. You see white borders along the polygons otherwise.

Aside from that there are no performance issues. It played much faster than my old 8500

I played JKII from start to end in suround mode no prob.
The only issue I had was the known FAA+fog problem on one level. I just turned off the FAA for that one level...

No there was something in JKII about performance problems and it said on this message board about it disabling gl extensions on the parhelia which causes frame rate issues and you needed to type something in the console to enable it?

Yes, JK2 doesn't know the Parhelia, so it turns of gl_extensions. You can force it on in the Video menu. Framerate goes up 5-10x.

                And it's FAA + Q3-engine fog specifically.
