  • BF1942 Retail And Surround Gaming

I picked up the retail verison of BF1942 tonight and I was pervously running the multiplayer Demo in Surround mode. Well it seems since I applied SP1 for XP and the 1.1 patch for the Demo, I cannot get Surround gaming to work on either the Demo Verison or Retail verison. I used the directions given by ROM in this thread http://forums.murc.ws/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35669 for both verisons.

    My Specs are the following:
    Windows XP SP1
    Lastest Offical Parhelia drivers
and my hardware is listed in my sig.

    Thanks
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

I ran the game and switched resolution to something weird that i could spot in the config files as mentioned in that thread. Then I edited just that file where that resolution was saved. BUT I havent installed sp1 OR purchased the retail yet, I'm just running the updated demo.

Hey, do you have to pay to play that online? is there a subscription fee?

as indicated here, this is a current problem with Windows XP SP1 and the current P drivers.

Mine works fine in surround, all I did was change to 1024X768 then jump out then edit then back in wala.Prepare for those high poly moments in surround you will see what im talking about on some maps.
The sixty-four bit upgrade to the thirty-two bit extension and graphical shell to a sixteen-bit patch to an eight-bit operating system originally coded for a four-bit microprocessor which was written by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition.

Looks like FAA is still screwing up the text as well.

thats not FAA... the FSS only makes SOME of the text not QUITE right, but still readable. I have the same problem. Stupid SP1.
