How do you open the console and whats the command for the fps counter?
Press the "~" key and type "stat fps".... or go to your System folder where you have UT2003 stored and run the "Benchmark" application file.

Hmm... now how did my reply to Faramir get placed ahead of the question?

I have a AXP 1600+ with 256Mb PC133 SDram. My settings are 2400x600 noAA no AF and normal texture levels. I am averaging 45 FPS and had no problem play with 16+ players (other then lag). Until the server crashed in a flaming ball of lag.

I may turn the FAA x16 back on since it only drops frames by 3-5 FPS.
I should have bought an ATI.

I uploaded some screen shots (with FPS) of suround gaming at 2400x600 with everything on. I was very supprised to find it playable. The FPS barely ever dropped below 20.

There may be some settings still turned off in the preferences menu, but I max all ingame settings, FAA x16, AF x2, and Gigacolor.
I should have bought an ATI.

Hit the ~ key to open the console. 'stat fps' for the frame counter and 'preferences' for the secret menu.
I should have bought an ATI.

press ~ for console and type "stat fps" for current and average fps.

edit: seems there are some problems with the forum regarding time of posts?

After some more of playing the game, testing various settings in new drivers and stuff, I must say I am very happy with way that Parhelia performs in UT 2k3. When I got the card I wasnt too thrilled about its performance, but things are really starting to shape up!

                      Keep on the good work!

(and release the damn overclocker )

We had actually posted the answer after he posted the question. The time on the server must have been set a few hours back just after he had posted.
I should have bought an ATI.
