Ok we fixed the problem with XP and SP1, now the only other thing i want you to try is to use the following:

2400 600 32 75

This should force it to 75 Hz or whatever you want, if that still doesn't work then i am afraid i can't help you, i am running out of ideas, let me know,

Ok let's try some other things:

1- Under your "Desktop Management" in Powerdesk uncheck everything (like maximize window in display 1 and so on...) and run the game, tell me if that works.
2- Install the latest apptimizer and don't do anything else, just run it and then play the game

Rom I have been away and I'm sorry about not replying. My setting were already like you wanted them. I didnt get in triple head. Does sof2 work in triple head? Thanks soooo much your a big help.

I finally got battle field to work in triplehaed but in game graphics aroung text is garled and so is load meter graphics when loading the next map. Grafic all around you can see the triangle or square shape 90 degree edges around objects like there are not enoungh to give you a smoother outline. Please help.

Well, I'm sure this might be useless info ... but here goes.

Retail Battlefield 1942 works in Surround Mode for me (2400x800x32).

I first started with the Demo. Wouldn't work. Screwed around forever. It worked! Once! What did I do? I dunno! Play again? No more surround mode. Hmmm ...

Whatever. I'm going RETAIL!

I install the retail software + patch. I use Apptimizer 1.0.0.19. Nothing works. I run the latest Apptimizer 1.0.0.20 ... everything is fine now. I really don't know that I did anything different besides use the latest apptimizer.

I'm on Windows XP Professional w/ Service Pack 1 + a couple odd hotfixes since SP1 release. My system specs are my signature. Uninstalling drivers and apptimizer completely before installing latest versions seems to have helped. But I do get stretched out hud, text and weapons display. I've learned to live with it.

Thanks for the info, I have been told to unistall my previous drivers but if I do that I will uninstall the matrox card. I cant find 1.0.0.223 in add/remove programs per say like what I have in the device manager. I downloaded the new 2kxp_102_00_042.exe parhelia driver to "my documents" and unzipped it but still my old 1.0.0.223 drivers were displayed in device manager. Im completely lost as what to do! Help!!!!!!!

okie, first things first...

in the Add/Remove Programs control panel, remove the Matrox Parhelia Software entry.

after its done, reboot the computer.

When it trys to install a new graphics card, cancel out of the Add New Hardware dialogs.

Run the Setup.exe file from where you extracted the 2kxp_102_00_042.exe file to, and when its done reboot the computer...
