In the demo i was hovering around 30-50 but the full game has some places where i get 15fps or so... for example the mid area in BR-skyline...

It is very CPU intensive. Otherwise people with 4200/8500/4600/Parhelia/9700 wouldn't be getting the same framerates.
Botmatch is what you're looking at for in-game performance. Not the Flyby.

mayhaps you have other issues to be addressed, or tweaking to correct these frames...

hmmm....
I don't know. It will probably depend on time. It's going to be hard enough just to kick out a review period
I'm the lead software guy for my team, and we're in the ole' Crunch mode right now, and...well, you know
Anyhow, it will most be very focused on features. The main thrust will be on the Surround side of the house, as well as multi-monitor features...Oh yeah, exceptional DVD quality too

I don't think software issues are the problem here, all other games run fantastic and i've tweaked and squeezed xp like a toothpastetube...

Well, I'm running dual PIII 1GHz on an ASUS CUV4X-D, with 1024 MB of SDRAM. I just ran the demo at 1280x1024 single screen and had a lovely round of bombing run with 4 bots on a side...

personally i got a huge performance improvement by switching my parhelia from my dual 1ghz p3 box to my 1.33 tbird.
on some of the CTF and bombing run maps it was really choppy, no matter what settings (i could drop it down to 640x480 w/ absolute minimum and it wouldn't perform well), but after putting it in the tbird i can max every setting and have FAA and gigacolor enabled and it runs quite nicely at 1024x768. i have yet to try 1280x1024 though.
it does depend on the map though. some performed smooth as silk, others just performed like crap."And yet, after spending 20+ years trying to evolve the user interface into something better, what's the most powerful improvement Apple was able to make? They finally put a god damned shell back in." -jwz
