  • Gaming and OS comparison

Tom did a review on the various OS's here...

The Tom's Hardware take on CES 2024: All the hottest new gadgets, tech, and innovation from the world's biggest consumer electronics show

Note: there is no reason to run Win9x OS's anymore!

    Cheers,

Wasn't Matrox first with driver-based 60+Hz refreshs in games?

Ever since I got my Parhelia have I've been able to run any rate in games.

Well the article was not really written by Tom, but anyway... I have sent them an email, hope they fix it soon.

          HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA LOL

Funniest article I have read in ages. Shame the author didn't mean it that way.

Must be the only place ever on THG that uses "0" as the left-hand end of the x-axis when showing 3D Marks. And the comments simply do not tie in with what the graphs show (the 3dmark one)...

          Funny, very funny.

Yes the results was all over the line that the differences in OS made no difference to performance... 1-2 frames more or less is = performance in my book... I'd like to know the standard error in that kind of setup was probably more.

But did anyone notice he didn't mention Matrox ONCE during his whole review ?

                Complete BS.

i have 3 games here, UT, UT2003 Demo and NWN
All 3 run significatly better under W98SE than under W2000.
Not only 1 or 2 fps...

i wonder when this hype stops

P.S.: ok, there is also Starcraft, but that not really a performance issue

Is "comparsion" a valid word, or did he misspell "comparison" in the title image just for fun
                  Edit: It's been corrected now
