How does Parhelia do at these games?

You really are spoiled, just as you said earlier. Those are just some insane numbers in equally insane settings!!!

I need to get me a Radeon 9700. I'm usually not an FPS junky, but hey this is one bloody fast chip.

Pardon my ignorance, but why would you need to turn on 4x FSAA in 1600x1200 and kill 15-30% performance since at that resolution it's already AA enough.
If you're standing still you can't see any jaggies and when you're in motion only some parts are "tearing" if you pay close attention.
2x tends to reduce that, still some minimal, barely noticeable "motion tearing" (not to be confused with the vsync off or low refresh rate tearing) on those places.
You must be really picky to use 4x FSAA in 1600x1200.
