AFAIK, the only difference between the highest world detail level and the high level, is that anisotropic filtering is enabled on the highest level (this seems to be the case on my Radeon 8500). While the G400 does have limited support for anisotropic filtering, in reality it is too slow to be useful, and the only game I have seen that would allow me to enable this feature is Revolt.

From what I have seen, the game really does not look very pretty on the G400. After a bit of tweaking, I am able to run it at playable framerates at 800x600x16 with car detail = medium, special effects = medium or high, world detail = high. (special effects = highest is a slide show inducer, because it enables fog... why does the g400 have such a hard time with fog? e.g. RTCW, NFS:HS, NFS:PU.

Earlier in this thread I posted much poorer results with the g400 than those above, but these came about because of the way the game installs itself. At first it just installs certain essential files, and then loads extra files to the hard drive as needed... naturally this causes the game to stutter a bit while it for example copies new music tracks to the hard disk in the middle of a race. However, after the first few races, most of the files get copied over to the hard disk and the stuttering is vastly reduced.

Overall, I am quite dissapointed by this game. It looks to me like its a quick and dirty port from the consoles. The control sensitivity is all wrong, force feedback works for only the first race of a gaming session, the graphics are not much better than in Porsche Unleashed or High Stakes, the replays suck, the tracks are not varied enough, opponent's AI is retarded, etc. On a positive side, the car models are done very nicely (especially with the awesome reflection and lighting effects which I see on my 8500 but do not see on my G400), the game is still quite fun (but not as fun as Hot Pursuit I), and the few tracks that are there are quite good.

For more information about the graphics, consult the readme file that comes with the game:
