G400 MAX and FIFA 2003

Hi,

I kindly ask you to help me on a problem occuring while playing FIFA 2003 final release with my G400 MAX: in the game everything works properly except I can’t see names and numbers on players jerseys. I run the game under Wn XP Pro at 1024x768 32-bit high detail (changing resolution and/or detail level does not help). The problem occurs both with 5.82 and 5.84 drivers. With 5.86 ones, during the match, colors are all messed up rainbow style.
So:
5.82 and 5.84 drivers the game runs perfectly except jerseys issue.
5.86 drivers the game is unplayable.

My 2 cents opinion is that it can’t be a T&L issue because I tried the game on other systems with a non compatible (like matrox) T&L card and I could see players and names on players shirts.

hmm is it playable with your 500Mhz P3 and the G400X at 1024x768x32bit high detail

Hi Daniele,

I have the same question as Thop asked you. With P3-450, I think you can not play the FIFA 2003 at 1024x768x32 mode with high detail.

My system is P3-750 OC'd to 900MHz, and I can not play at 1024x768x32 even in medium detail.
Of course the game can still running, but I think you have very much difficulties to control the players.

I am currently running FIFA 2003 in 800x600x32 with medium detail. It seems this mode is the highest mode my system can handle to play FIFA 2003.

Sometimes, when I'd like to play the game in faster pacing, 640x480x32 is the best mode.

Hi to everybody!

First of all I apologize if i gave the impression to try to "lie" about FIFA 2003 game res I play.

I will check if I commetted a mistake selecting res, but, frankly speaking, I don't think.

Besides, please consider that I play with a camera view which allows me to see only players and not all the stadium.

Surely it's not perfectly smooth, but I was really surprised how it is playable.

Anyway I will check again.

I aplogize if someone felt "fooled": I really did not intend to.
