  • Parhelia support in Doom 3 leak?

Just saw a post @ doom.3.dk's forum, which describes how to change the .cfg-file for the D3-leak.
It seems that there's some Parhelia support after all, despite what JC said this summer about Matrox Parhelia:
The next 4 ones are about your hardware and drivers:

r_useParhelia = 0 Enable if you got a matrox parhelia graphics card
    r_useNV20 = 1 Enable if you got a Gf3-Gf4Ti graphics card
    r_useNV30 = 0 You wouldn't need instructions for that
r_useGL2 = 0 Don't enable it unless you got beta drivers with OpenGL2 support
    Here's the link:

    I'll buy a new card Soon™, very Soon™!

On a Parhelia? Can't get it to work on mine, even changing the .cfg files....

yes, on parhelia. downloaded a small file with edonkey. Think the file was called speedup.doom3.zip or something. Contained a cfg file and some other files.

Could you email me those files or post them here? Thanks

Also, which drivers are you using?

            Took me 9 minutes...

It only took me 9(!) minutes to download the DooM III Alpha from here:
            LINK REMOVED

And here's some screens from the Alpha:

It will be removed by Ant here shortly, and for anyone else thinking that posting warez and the like is kewl, think twice. Uber your getting short listed by your flagrent disregard to the forum rules!

Greebe - I was after the changes he made to the configuration files - or his configuration files.

I was not after his illegal copy of DOOM 3.

So next you'll be telling me that configuration files are illegal as well? bah

I'm only refering to your past transgressions of the same (similar)

They would not be considered the same, but if the link leads you to the same then that would not be allowable either.

Just want to be clear on this issue

I'll be good here in that respect

                          oops....

Didn't think it was rated warez since there was no EULA included,
afaik it's ATi that broke their NDA with id software.

Anyways, I apologize for posting that 1st link...

If ATI broke the NDA, then Doom3 is covered by trade secret law. If you know an NDA was broken to get the file to you, you're not entitled to it, and can also be prosecuted. The server is in the US, US laws apply.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Which server, the one from were it 1st appeared or the one I downloaded it from?
Since I downloaded it from a Finnish server...would that mean that Finnish laws applies...or?

                              Then I read this here:
                              Uncle Mart says:
                              03:40 @ 03-11-2002

                              No EULA = no rights
No kind of agreement = no rights
No copyright on the said software = no rights

basically ID cant do squat but complain and threaten , If its their software and its been released (somehow) to the public then maybe they should be more carefull with who THEY give it to and quit blaming others for THEIR mistake. personally I wouldnt take it down , but your ISP might see it differantly when threatend by them , hell , I dont see what their probalem is , do they expect to stop people getting it? nahhhhhh

I would just remove the link for a few hours and then put it back up (of course asking them for confirmation that it was removed ok heheh)
Are they right or is it just a load of BS?
