  • Correct Surround Settings for NOLF2?

    People,

Having surmised that the same edits that make AvP2 work in surround mode, I decided to do the same for NOLF2 and was delighted to discover that it does indeed make the game go Surround Mode.

My only issue is, what is the proper FOV setting? R0M, do you know the answer to this? I tried 143 as is the recommended setting in AvP, but this creates a Cate Archer with arms 12 feet long. LOL!

I'm sure the proper directions for making NOLF2 are somewhere on this board, but I don't know where to start.

Try 134 but once you read a note then it fails...

      Hmmm ...

So, this is probably not going to be a game that gets the "Try this one in Surround Gaming mode!" treatment, eh?

That's okay. I'm not broken up about it or anything. I just thought I would give it a whirl.

Thanks for reading my post though! I appreciate it!

      Peace!

I believe this is another game where the designers intensionally disabled surround gaming. There is an errata in the readme that says something along the line of "The manual states that all Direct X modes supported by the card will be listed. This has been changed to only list the modes with a 4x3 ratio." (something along those lines). It looks great, however, on the Parhelia. I run it at 1024x768x32, max detail settings, and 16x AA to boot.
