What about Stunt Car Racer? I am pretty sure that it was Geoff Crammond's work... I ran that on my 8086 PC - it really pushed 640k of RAM to the max!

Get the "Stunt car racer" track for Grand Prix legends. Rollercoaster and Hump Back, they are really fun.
There are now 266 tracks available for Grand Prix Legends so anybody should be able to find some interesting tracks. I like those long "rally" tracks Janakkala and Jokimaa

          it truly is...

as well as the world famous most unplayable car simulator ever: The Revs.

Revs was Geoff Crammond's first try to create Formula One simulator for computer. (in this case, Commodore 64.)

it's VERY choppy. Even the SuperCPU (16MHz 16 Bit TurboCard for C64.) optimized version readme says: "SCPU turns this unplayable F1 simulator to... well, it's still unplayable but faster."

              What about Crazy Cars III?
I had it for my Atari 1040 STE. It was really fantastic...

                Just tried NFS:Pursuit today...
It is a bit too easy to drive I think. Completely ignoring the real world car physis... anyway, it has pretty cool gfx and the feel of "speed" so I'm gonna get myself a copy anyway

To top that... a wheel+pedal soon!!!

Damn I just love my Parhelia 1280x1024+4xFSAA look so good

I'm really looking forward to the release of LiveForSpeed final version It is quite realisic (physis wise, not gfx wise) it is as good as if not better than playstation GT! Now I need to find an excuse to get the 3rd monitor back from my gf...

NFS:HS is still quite cool (the career mode)... but it takes some fiddling to get it to work (some more in Win2k and some less in Win XP).

                  But it's definately worth it.

yes I second that, I like the tracks on HFS:HS.

Beeen having fun with Colin MCrae 2 lately.

Anyone play any of the Carmaggeddon series..?

Oh YES! I played Carmaggeddon (sp?) with a mate lots and lots - we had to patch it in this country to get the red (as opposed to green) "blood" but it was hilarious. Especially the old grannies with zimmerframes saying "in the war...."

I loved Carmageddon... Although I had to play it with all textures disabled on my poor old Pentium 75. I loved Carmageddon 2 too, it was almost as cool as the original. Then TDR2000 appeared, and suddenly most of the fun was gone. In fact, TDR2000 is the only Carmageddon game that I haven't bought/finished.

Stunts (aka 4D Sports Driving) was great as well... Except that the cars didn't handle too well. If someone only made a new version of it, with a good and simple track editor and user-importable cars!

Stunt Car Racer was cool too, but the PC version was too damn fugly.

I've bought the original Carmageddon game... the only reason I never play it because I don't know how to play it with 3d acceleration.

There are patches for DOS Glide for Voodoo-1 and Voodoo-2, but I am not aware of any way to use those in a Glide emulator.. anyone??????

CMR2 is also good fun, but doesn't run that well on a G400 sadly

I finished all the carmagedons except the first as i only ever had the demo of it. I probably like 2 the best but TDR is okay once you get into it, the F1 car is excellent.
