  • How does the 256mb parhelia compare to ati radeon pro 9700?

This web address ( https://www.a1-electronics.co.uk/Gra...elia-512.shtml ) has the core clock frequency at 300MHZ for the 256mb memory parhelia card. Will this be what the parhelia needs to be equal or better that ati radeon pro 9700?

The information on this page is whacked, the 256mb version is clocked the same as the OEM version of the 128mb. See here

At least for a second I was in bliss. What we all could do with that clock frequency. Thanks for setting that straight.

That is by far the worst review of any hardware I've read so far... Incredible... What a load of crap...

Wish it were so, but think about this, I've seen some benchmarks that say with 1024x768 and AA maxed out, the parhelia actually scored a bit higher than the 9700pro. Now if the clock speed were matched, could you imagine how nice THAT would be? The Parhelia would TROUNCE most things out there.

Ahh yes, a 300MHz Parhelia. That would have sold like crazy, and trounced everybody. Shame.

Does the 256mb ver. also suffer from the banding issues?

Matrox will finally have there revenge ............. for a 300Mhz Core Parhelia .... This card will finally be Matrox's running horse, so to speak. They have a chance to maybe not win a race but come in a close second.

First off I will answer your question ... The 9700Pro cannot be matched by the Matrox Failurhelia. It is a weak and poor card that is so way over priced it will not move in sales ...
If Matrox would have made a cheap but really great graphic card they would have taken the market.

But no they tried to compete against two huge company's that will blow them out of the water easily...

Matrox should smarten up and learn from there mistakes.

{Solution} Buy a chip makers gaming chip that work well and that is cheap. Add it to your cards but use the Matrox name. That's it.
                          And that is the deal.

GLADIATOR for a person who came here asking meriad of Q's about Parhelia, you sure don't appear to know jack when it actually comes to the card, but sure as sheit are opinionated about it now.

P can do some thing far better than or what the 9700 simply cannot do.
