I personally think matrox is a great company ...

M3M was stupid and is stupid and will alway's be stupid.
    Mystique amazing..
    Millenium Oustanding.
    G400max Oustanding
    G450 ok
    G550 ok

    Phahelia Way overpriced !
Nice card exellent features 3D Surround gaming and 3 Monitor gaming. But again this is for the gamer who has to much money on his hands which are few.

Matrox needs to build a great gaming card at a cheap price.
    Cheap cheap cheap.......

      That'll be the M3D then.

G450/550 ok? Well, in the performance stakes, but their quality has always been excellent, from Millennium I to Millennium G550 DVI. But not beyond.

And, in my opinion, Matrox doesn't need to build a great gaming card at a cheap price, they need to build a great card. Bringing out a cheap card wont sort much - they need to get back to what made them strong...quality. I appreciated it, OEMs appreciated it, business appreciated it. A Parhelia, or any derivative with the same problems is going to meet with the same fate.

G450/G550 ok? <----- Ya it was weaker than the G400Max and nothing better at all except for price.... But they could have just sold the older G400Max cheaper and renamed it and saved developing a holl new card. hehe

They could have done that, but then they wouldn't have been able to offer people the HeadCastingâ„¢ engine!

Basically, the G450/G550 should have had a real Transform & Lighting engine. But Matrox had to wait until the Parhelia to offer a card with T&L support.

Ok but why make such a huge and expensive graphic card? Unless it blows the competition .. They are doing what 3Dfx did
              before they failed.

A card that is weak in power but has great tech but it's not near the competitons cards in performance.

This is a bad card for gamers who look at bang for your buck.

If this card was half the price it would sell well.

If pretty much anything was half its price it would sell well.

Speed alone makes not a cards price

I suppose we are in a gaming forum, but your covering statement about them being better at "nothing" is wrong. I have a G400 MAX at the moment and I'm desperate for a G450/G550, and PCI at that.

Don't assume we all fit into your little gaming world.

The Parhelia isn't near the competition? Last I saw the Parhelia with 16(!)x antialiasing outperforms a GF4 Ti4600 at 4x!

Uhm, but Full Scene Anti-Aliasing requires a lot more horsepowers than Fragment Anti-Aliasing. And it works with fog too

Pace you want intelligent Here ya go -->> Your a dummy!

First off M3D sucked ass.... BIG TIME I know because i bought one and brought it right back .. So why are you defending it... ?

And I'm not a troll... I can express my opinion and let me tell you Nvidia sucks for FSAA, but ATI's FSAA is oustanding and as good as Matrox's 16x any day... If you put Matrox at 4x FSAA it wouldn't look as good as ATI's 4x, it needs to be at 16x to match ATI's {4x }6x FSAA...

                              @GALDIATOR

You have done nothing but slam virtually all Matrox products at every whim. Intentionally mispelling product names to enrage others and not addressing anyone who puts your comments to the test. Not to mention sarcastically flaming others who counter your comments you can possibly find a loophole in. All the while pimping the product of your choice.

That sir is Trolling, plain & simple. This activity will not be permitted further.

Greebe First off I did not bash Matrox products like my Mystique which i loved! Nor my MatroxG400max Which i thought was the best card at that time. Second don't pic on me for expressing my opinion...on crapy products I bought off matrox.
