New NWN patch supports ATI Radeon w/Shiny water...
another quick question about NWN, will they ever fix FAA so it actually does SOMETHING?

Originally posted by DGhost Honestly, it could be either. How long did it take BioWare to release it with ATI's spec?
And about Tenebrae, the Parhelia support is """done""". Any official release is going to wait until a new driver set appears, however, as there are a number of issues when used in conjunction with the public driver set (hardlocks being one of them). Still working on debugging it though, its just a little hard to debug a hardlock :P
Don't dis DevRel - those guys kick just as much ass as the Tech Support staff.
I stand corrected.

I've got a sneaking feeling this may be a BioWare problem as FSAA isn't working on my shiny new 9700 with NWN either

In the process of selling it.
and what do you think of the 9700 in comparison?
+ Much better for gaming
- No FAA
+ Working FSAA (implying that FAA is broken at times)
- No SG
+ No banding
+ Good OpenGL support
+ Good Linux support (OpenGL + XVideo)
+ Can do more than x2 aniso - and it's fast doing it
- Stutters randomly with certain demos/games. ATI reckon they've fixed it in the next driver
- No Gigacolour
- Per app driver options
+ TruForm (P. supports n-Patches but I've yet to see them working)

The one reason I would consider selling my Parhelia and getting a 9700pro. I'll wait and see how Matrox handles their linux support. Probably by the time I have the cash to fork over for a 9700pro, something else will be out, or Matrox will have the linux stuff all ironed out.

I am currently thinking about selling it, but I am not sure as of not.
I am a bit too disappointed about Aniso-Filtering, also FAA could need some improvements. And on the side note I won't be able to do multi-monitoring for a long time, I actually planned to get a second monitor this month, and another one in about three months, but I don't have the space for the monitors.
It all depends on how cheap I could get a 9700, and how much I could get for my Parhelia.
