  • OpenGL drivers for G550 32 MB

    Hi all,
I'm trying to run Soldier of fortune and it keeps saying it can't load the openGL subsystem.
I may not have the drivers loaded so where do I get them?
Are the in the installation software provided?
    Is the G550 OpenGL compatible?
Machine is AMD xp2000+ Cpu 512 Mb pc2700 DDR on a soltek K75 FRV motherbd.
    cheers
    James

I'm guessing you mean the drivers on the CD when you say installation software. They're kind of old, so get newer drivers at http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/dr...atest/home.cfm.

OGL has always been in the G550 drivers.
If it's not working, it's because of some configuration problem.
Make sure your desktop is set to 16 or 32bit color depth, and that you have "assign IRQ to VGA" enabled in your mobo BIOS.

The newest drivers released on Dec 20 (5.88) have broken OGL/D3D.
