  • The UT2003 Server - New Maps thread

    I will be uploading some new maps tonight after work.

    They are:
    CTF-Arrakis
    CTF-Sahagin
    CTF-Unearthed
    DM-1on1-Alpu2
    DM-Hygog
    DM-Hypsophobia
    DM-Liandri_v02
    DM-ShudderCreek
    DM-Slam
    DM-Tree-Of-Ages
    DM-AnubianBathHouse2
    DM-VSK-WarZone


    Here are some links so you can download them ahead of time, if you wish.






    Not all of the maps are on all of the sites (not my fault). If you have plenty of space available, download the mappacks from http://www.ut2003hq.com/ and you'll not have to do this very often. Most of the maps I'll be adding, now and in the future, are in these mappacks

            Why is it taking so long to switch at the end of a game?
            I played several rounds tonight (mostly with the bots), and whenever we reached the end of a match, it took >4min for the server to switch to the next map...
            Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

                I noticed the same problem, when I got home last night.
                I did a little testing and apparently the current version of the MapVote mutator is causing the problem. As it is now, every time the server starts/restarts there are no mutators chosen by default. The moment I enable MapVote the problem goes away.

                I'm looking into the problems. When I know more, you'll know more

                  I'm working on 2 possible solutions. Either way, the lingering problem will fixed by this weekend

                    I believe it's been solved. Won't know absolutely, for sure, till they change the start up parameters, but, I tested it at home and it worked flawlessly

                      The problem has indeed been fixed.
                      As it turned out, Plan A did not work and I had to switch to Plan B
