I'm using the WHQL ones, 1.4.2.7.

Oh well... guess I'll have to tweak it some more.

      There exist a patch:
      # Stopped crashes when Keyboard is remapped to selected keys.
      # System deadlock if the correct key is not pressed when playing an FMV
      # Systems deadlock or crashes just after loading a level
      # Missing shotgun
      # EAX logos are now corrected
      # FMV player now supports machines with the VMR9 interface.

I installed the patch and ..........
The game wouldn't start... I just got a black screen and had to turn off the comp !
        I tried again ... same thing !
So I re-installed without applying the patch and everything is fine again even the EAX logos .............
        .....................
I wonder where the missing shotgun should be ???

What is this game like ?? as the reviews haven't exactly raved about it, in fact it has had medicore results from most reviewers.

Has anyone tried it on a PS2 ?? if so is it better or worse ?

          thx
          Andy

Only because controlling Lara is so difficult... it's not the best game ...
Even using a game pad its difficult to control Lara...
The strafing is really bad and the response to input seems a little slow for both keyboard and game pad.... and when she does move it seems a little further that I want her to move .... may be I haven't got something quite right yet ...

Having it work in surround is really brilliant .... just those damn controls .... for now though I'm too busy enjoying the other great games that work in surround... I'll get back to Lara at a later date to see if I can't get used to the controls.
