  • Midnight Club II - Surround Gaming - Parhelia Brilliance !

In Surround on the AWESOME PARHELIA ........ Midnight club II is soooooooo GOOD !

Just turn off "Full Screen Effects" and you have a game that could have been designed for Surround Gaming.
There are a few graphical anomalies - semi-transparent walls, occasionally on the higher levels - but this does not (in my opinion) detract from the game at all.
The game runs smooth and sweet at 3072 x 768.

As I say It could have been designed for surround gaming ...

Crashing and bashing your opponents as they come up along side you .... on your left or right monitors !
Watch replays of your vehicle sliding around corners ... across all three monitors !
Take huge jumps and the "Action Camera" spins around your vehicle as you fly through the air from one monitor to the next ... to the next !
On the starting grid you line up with your opponents to your left and right... and you can see all four of them !
And out of the corner of you eye - on one of your side screens- you can see that next way point over the top of the very wide cityscape.

And there are those that poo poo this "THE" FANTASTIC PARHELIA !
They say it is on its way out ... its dead !

How wrong they are ... it just doesn't get much better than this !

Don't dump on this card just because you can't afford it or because you read somewhere that its not as good as some other cards out there........they can't do 3 monitors like this !!!

Save up - get yourself a Parhelia, a GOOD system and three TFT's.

Don't just play your games ..... EXPERIENCE THEM !

No I'm an artist ... I love the visual thing.

The Parhelia fills my vision with wonderful visual things.

I have had nothing but joy from this card ... and I'm fed up with all the misguided waffle regarding this fabulous card.

What a wonderfully happy thread .... I was begining to think I was the only "happy chappie" out there ... it has cheered me up no end to read the "Happy Thread" !

Where do all the negative heads get it from ? ... I'm sure they can't have tried Surround Gaming ... Who would prefer one monitor over three ?

          BTW... how,s the Viewsonics ? .... I'm thinking of getting 3 x Veiwsonic VP191b's .... ThinEdge ... http://www.viewsoniceurope.com/UK/Pr...rof/VP191b.htm

          Cheers !

The Viewsonic VG181b's are great. I will also be getting 3 x VP191b's real soon. Have to move the current three to my other 2 systems, since I sold my CRTs

Muahahahahahahaaaaaa! MUUUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! MOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUA ... hack! hack! cough! cough!

Damn ... you can only do that so long before you choke.

I have been schooling the fellas over at Futuremark.com on the glory that is Parhelia Triple Screen Gaming. Many of them have been impressed ... while some have had to ask, "Is it a good card for gaming?"

I keep telling them, hell yeah! We may not be turning in 15K 3Dmarks, but this card kicks major ass. I have a lot of current games (and demos) and I can't think of one game that didn't run fast enough.

I love this card, and after adding the three 1760V's to the mix, I'm even more in love.

I'll be sure to get some pics of my Parhelia kicking ass in MC2 and post them there.

              Gotta fight the negative hype!
