  • Call of Duty Demo ... ZOIKES!

Wow ... this muther rocks and rolls. Move over Medal of Honor, your original creators have passed you at supersonic speeds.

If you thought some of the set pieces of Medal of Honor were good, get ready for more pitched battles. The demo shows very nicely what a 20 man firefight can look like on a PC. Very nicely done.

And it kinda works in Surround Mode too. Me like. Me buy.
    Main PC

    Home Theater PC

It looks very good, a friend of mine was also really impressed. Altough the demo is very short for such a big download.

I was reading the thread title and thought you were calling me for some reason.

Agreed - disappointingly short demo. But the game looks like it could be great. The squad and enemy AI was quite impressive, and the general atmospherics as well. 10x better than MOHAA (which, to be fair, is starting to show its age now).

Also (if anyone's interested) runs beautifully smoothly on a Parhelia with FAA in singlehead. Haven't tried the sort-of surround mode yet but might give that a go tomorrow.

          Hehe, thought the same thing.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else is saying, short demo, but very nice game. I really like the aim down the sight, but not scope type zooming move. AI was fantastic, and I absolutely love how you can trade weapons with the enemy corpses.

And to add on to GNEP's other statement, it runs beautifully on Parhelia/FAA/DF running in the background.

To help avoid confusion in the future, the correct spelling is ZOINKS!

It runs beautifully smooth on a Parhelia with FAA in Triplehead.

I just hope that surround gaming is implemented the full game ...

It doesn't sound like Shaggy is saying ZOINKS to me ... ah, well.

Running the game in Surround Mode is pretty impressive, even though it stutters occasionally. I love it. The only thing I've noticed is the "shellshocked" effect causes my PC to crawl at 1 FPS for some reason. When its over, the game resumes. The shellshock effect plays perfectly on the RADEON 9700 though.

R0M doesn't think Triple Head will make it into the retail release. You'd think they could at least enable it for SP.
