  • Dungeon Siege

Well I finally finished it up, after having taken a break for a while and starting over. So while I am waiting for the expansion pak and DS2 I would like some suggestions for another good game along the same lines to get and play in the mean time.

Neverwinter Nights and its expansions /mods
but they tend to be more convoluted storylines and game play but its fun as well.

Or you can start a Diablo II-LOD character and play again.. i'd suggest doing something unconventional like an amazon who uses Mauls and Swords, I already have one which uses Axes and Swords (do have a bow for certain situations though).. would be fun as well..

DS was good but it did get a little boring after a while, myself and my mate worked through it in weekend (big sessions) and then decided right, that is enough DS.

As Bel says you have to play Diablo II LOD, I have a nice barbarian at the moment that uses pole-axes, not a choice I would normally make.

Other then that on the fps front (if you play them) Global Operations.

          Found this,

Download Copperhead: Retaliation. Derek Warner's Copperhead is a total conversion of Gas...

          over on,

          It's pretty cool.

What do you have against Bioware? I'm quite fond of Neverwinter Nights (now that it works in linux, which is where I play it.)

I played through a lot of Dungeon Siege, then I got to a point I couldn't beat. Of course I was overwriting the same save file each time, so it was:
              a) cheat
              b) find the magical super stick of beating-this-area
              c) start over
              d) quit

I just couldn't get back into it after that.

There were several areas where I had to use hit and run tactics to get through. One thing I also found out was to have a mage with the healing spell active and to keep him mana uped during battles.

It's the endless bugs...even after all this time and various patches there's so many bugs that it makes me want to vomit.

DS is a damn addictive game. Now that it turned out the lockups I had were caused by enabling fast writes on my system and not by the sound card (Creative drivers) or later ATI catalyst versions, I've been hooked for the last week. I'm just about to finish it, also downloaded the Copperhead: Retaliation mod and looking for the expansion pack.
Too bad the Copperhed mod needs v1.11 ... to be installed, the patch makes the game crash now and then, with the collecting error report and all.
