Hi wingie,
I downloaded the demo ....
... strange big red walls at the limits of the city ....
and it doesn't work too well with my handlebars ... usually great for racing type games ....
The controller setup only allows my handlebars to turn one way ...
I guess I'll have to use one of those really awful joypads !
Thanks anyway...... PaddywakMy Systems :

yea leoncats if n/e one knows the q3 engine it would be me, Ive been working with it since q3 even came out along with all of teh released titles and alot of mods. cod has a locked fov in mutlyplayer, in q3 I made my own script to have 10 different adjustable zooms with mouse wheel. its shame that they change theses things kinds of things to stop hackers from having a wider view. cod is really good in single player, and i was looking forward to multiplayer in sg, but noo0o0 idiots locked it :/they also did it to medal of honour. and if n/e one here plays urban terror, they also locked teh fov in it :@:@SaTaN^666

Wouldn't it be great if someone invented a FOV unlocker ! .....

I recently picked up a Parhelia card and am experimenting to decide whether it works for my application.
First is LOMAC. Although it is SG ready, there is a recognized bug in that you cannot zoom out of the cockpit past a certain point (i.e. the FOV stops at a point well short of optimal on the zoom-out). FOV works great for all external views.... but this one really inhibits gameplay.
As I am anxious to really evaluate this card for this function, it would be *great* if some could fix this. And although not much, I'll send $50 to the PayPal account to the first person that can make this work...
Secondly, what about some of you hacking geniuses giving us a tutorial or guide on how to hack games to work in SG? It would be cool for those of us who would like to learn and would take the burden off of you all.
Anyway... thanks in advance!

wazoo,
AFAIK the LOMAC crew are aware of the bug and there should be a fix to this with the next patch.
In the meantime, a TrackIR2 is a good workaround! :-)Asus P4C800-E Deluxe, Pentium 4 3GHz, 2Gb DDRRAM, Gainward BLISS GeForce 7800 GS+ 512MB, Matrox TripleHead2Go Digital, 3x Iiyama 4637 18.1" TFTs, Audigy 2 ZS, Matrox RT.x100, Silentmaxx Acoustic Case

hmmh... I have contacts to HouseMarque who made the Supreme Snowboarding, I could try ask if they could make a patch that allows selecting the FOV or perhaps new build with Surround Gaming like FOV...
Con't promise for sure but I'll give it a try.
