We don't get the CD version until the 19 and the DVD until the 26th, so I will be waiting until the 26th...6cd install no thanks.

Anyone know anything about the headset in the dvd version?.
And I am assumeing the linux version is included on the DVD as well?

Pretty cool how you can play on ut2k3 severs with utk4 tho, might have to uninstall ut2k3 to save abit o space.

Unfortunately, they changed the game engine & net code so much for UT2004 that it is not backwards compatible with UT2003.

Won't buy it until I have a faster Internet connection. Back in dialuphell at the moment. No fricken DSL where I live (and less than 400m to the #@$$ exchange too) Looking to get a wireless 256kb and share the cost with a neighbour. then maybe I'll buy it. Other thing is that at the end of this month I'll be working in a hospital 100km from home, so will be in hospital accommodation. That job is for 6 months and DSL is available there,. I am tempted to get DSL for the 6 months

Ordered my copy - I should have it at the back end of next week (no time to play until then anyway...).

BTW the onslaught/assualt maps are described here: http://gamespy.com/articles/march04/ut2004maps/

GoGamer keeps changing their shipping date. First it was yesterday, now it's today. Hope they don't change it again. I ordered 3 SE versions, from them, last week, for others. Someone's gonna be pissed if they're not here by Friday.

Yeah... I'm getting a bit worried, especially after hearing of all the other places selling out of the SE and also some places cancelling orders -- like BestBuy did to Helevitia.

                            WoooHooo!

I just got home and saw an email from GoGamer confirming shipment with a fedex tracking number. My package is currently in Irvine, CA with an estimated arrival of Friday 4:30pm.

I picked up a copy at Best Buy today.
                              Installing now.
Unfortunatly, they didn't have the DVD version, and I didn't have the energy to drive around town looking for it. No biggie. I ain't planning on doing any mapping, so the tutorial don't matter. Everything I've read indicates the headset with the SE package is garbage, so if I decide to get into voice comms, I'll just buy a decent headset.

$39.95, $10 rebate for my UT2003 manual cover, and 3 spiffy Atari stickers. Cheapest 'new' game I've bought in years...

I've had to email them. My order's status has not changed If they over-sold I'm going to be very upset.
I had placed the order on the 11th, and could have easily ordered from elsewhere.
