NEW World of Warcraft?

I'd be playing, but the servers are all down, and have been down all day. And even when they're up, unless it's like 4:00am when all the kids are in bed the server lags so bad it takes many minutes just to smelt copper ore (woohoo, why have a real life job that pays when you can PAY to have a virtual job? ) Blizzard apparently either has a rather serious lack of planning and didn't realize that they'd get over 500,000 people trying to play, or else they're too damn cheap and didn't have their servers and/or internet connections set-up to be able to handle the load. Considering the whoring out to Fileplanet that they've been doing I'm betting it's the second option.

I won't be buying it, I just can't see paying $15/month to play a game that's full of BNet kiddies (You want to see the future of the world, go look at the BattleNet and WoW forums... makes me want to go find some nice secluded cave and move away from "civilization.")

i tend to agree, i have been soloing 99% of the time and made it to level 10 before the frustration index peaked, it has been down for hours now.

i wont pay for this crappy service if it remains as it is.

i thought that there using bit-torrent and my only seeing 20-40k/sec to download it was frustrating to start with, especially when theres 2.5g to download.

Yeah, their version of BitTorrent is horrific, I ended up using a hex editor to dig the .torrent file out of their downloader executable and using BitTornado to download the game.
