Originally posted by dZeus ah I always had it set to disabled in multiplayer but it never acted like that in single player mode. Can't remember which version it was
I remember it was messing with its settings when adding a new profile, so I ended up in adjusting every profiles prefs.
Maybe you just had to en- and disable it once for the settings taking effect ?

As far as i can see the only real way to "roam the streets" in Multiplayer is to do a race type "Outrun" and not actually get more than 300 metres away from the lead car
ASUS P8Z68-V Pro Motherboard, Intel Core i7 2600K CPU @ 4.3GHz, G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB DDR3 Ram, Pioneer DVR-219L DVDRW, OCZ Vertex 3 120GB SSD, Western Digital Black 1TB SATA HDD, Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3GB, Everything being driven by Windows 10 Professional (64Bit)...
I especially enjoy cruising through town and following those outrun opponents without actually picking up a challenge.
It seems that after a few minutes all opponents start gathering on the road, so that I have 'em all besides me and whenever I see a long straight ahead, I take one challenge, switch one gear down and hit my nitro injection ... what a rush !
Looks like I should post a pic of my MX5 as well, and I'm close to 5 style points already ...

I completed the game over the weekend...was definately worth the money. I finished it in the car i started in, a 240SX. I've now started again and am going to try and finish it with a Civic...

by "completed the game" you surely mean, you finished all races that were marked on the map, right ?
I can hardly believe you found all those hidden challenges in such a short period ...

I "Completed the Game" in the sence that i got the whole "Congratulations you have completed NFSU2 and unlocked all upgrades and parts in Quick Race" kinda thing (There are no more races available anywhere on the map, this includes ones that don't show up on the map/gps). When i look at my stats i've actually only completed about 73% as i didn't do any outruns at all until the very end and i only completed one race in an SUV.
I suppose you could say that i haven't completed the game in the true sense, this is why i'm starting again and am going to aim for 100% this time around.

Just a little spoiler:
Some races are only open for SUVs (I think there are about 4-5 in each stage) and others are only open if you have a Corolla (stage 5). Just so you know Oh and doing drifts is really hard in SUVs, hint: turn off stability control and adjust the tire grip...
BTW here`s my RX-8. Loved the RX-7 in NFSU, love this one even more
I'm seriously struggling in drift events, but I was pretty good at that in NFS-U1 ... am I missing something obvious ?
My scores range from 25-30000, but the opponents score most of the time more than 50000 ...
However, I did alter my setup for drifting and the car slids and skids like crazy, it's just that I get pretty low scores by doing so ... any hints to get me going ?
