  • Flat Out - In Surround

Flat Out runs in surround, just pick the resolution in Settings before you run the game.

However, FOV is stretched, although menus, etc work well.

    Can anyone fix this?

    Hi,

This will work with retail version only, not with demo.

    1) Download this "bfsunpack.zip" utility:

    2) Extract the contents of the zip file into your 'Flatout' directory
    3) Open "Command prompt" (DOS prompt)
    4) Move to your FlatOut directory (eg. D:\games\flatout\)
    5) type: bfsunpack.exe common1.bfs (and wait for a while)
    6) type: bfsunpack.exe common2.bfs (and wait again)
    7) type: bfsunpack.exe europe.bfs (and wait again)
    8) close the DOS prompt
    9) Now, move/delete your "filesystem.ini" file away from FlatOut directory

Now you'll see that there's a file called "camera.ini" for every car available
    in a directory ...\flatout\data\cars\car_x (where x marks the car#).

I haven't really got the time for adjusting the camera views, but here is something you can start with.
It's VERY far from perfect and hopefully someone can find better settings (with this car or with some other cars).
Btw, camera position [4] is intended for incar view and the original game does not have this view!

Do you know what the splitcamera.ini does?

        Thanks

Sorry, but I have no idea.
I've been quite busy lately and I haven't played the game at all since my first reply.
