Dear Murc
Like many of you im sure, i was excited by the release of matrox's 512 parhelia AGP 256mb card. Consequently i have brought one and have had nothing but problems with the gaming side of the card.
I am into computer animation and rendering off large amounts of scenes at a time and i cannot fault its reliablity and speed.
Although i do have a problem with its in game reliability and performance. Now i know that this is not a "gamers" card but i would have expected that it is supported by most games and should perform well in all. Yet i have come to find that when in world of warcraft as soon as i attempt to attack someone the game freezes and any backup functions such as ctrl alt del are rendered useless.
Now i can only put this down to my GC and im wondering if you can shed some light onto how to either configure the card or sort the problem out. I have tried to download the latest drivers but have had problems with this as well. If someone could help me on these matters i woul be grateful as i dont want to spend money on a new card as this one was mighty expensive.
Kind regards
