  • World of warcraft gaming errors

    Dear Murc

Like many of you im sure, i was excited by the release of matrox's 512 parhelia AGP 256mb card. Consequently i have brought one and have had nothing but problems with the gaming side of the card.

I am into computer animation and rendering off large amounts of scenes at a time and i cannot fault its reliablity and speed.

Although i do have a problem with its in game reliability and performance. Now i know that this is not a "gamers" card but i would have expected that it is supported by most games and should perform well in all. Yet i have come to find that when in world of warcraft as soon as i attempt to attack someone the game freezes and any backup functions such as ctrl alt del are rendered useless.

Now i can only put this down to my GC and im wondering if you can shed some light onto how to either configure the card or sort the problem out. I have tried to download the latest drivers but have had problems with this as well. If someone could help me on these matters i woul be grateful as i dont want to spend money on a new card as this one was mighty expensive.

    Kind regards

    Mark knowles

Personally I can't help you with Warcraft problem, but latest drivers are a must. What problems do you have in installing them?

(also, you might consider asking at Matrox tech support forum and similar Warcraft forum, if there is any)

      Thanks

Thanks for the reply most appreciated. I have tried matrox support on numerous occasions before but have never had a response

With regards to installing the drivers as far as i am aware i have to uninstall the old ones then unzip the new ones..... is that it?

      thanks again

This does not really sound like a graphic card problem to me, otherwise this would not only occur when trying to attack someone. I'd search the world of warcraft forums if any other people have had this problem too.
