Hey y'all ... who's using Hamachi ? (all hands raise please)

Right now, I have the following games on my system working via Hamachi:

FarCry 1.33 with Coop Mod
Doom3 1.3 with Coop Mod
Painkiller & BooH (v1.62 I think)

I'll gladly offer assistance in setting it all up, in case you experience any difficulties or cannot find all neccessary files and if your favorite game isn't listed above, just post which one and I'll see if I can get my hands on it ...

For me, it is the VPN tool to have ...

Compared to regular online gaming via a dedicated official server, you save quite a few hops and hence your lag gets reduced by quite a margin, not to mention the privacy that comes with it.

NFSU2 is way better than its first incarnation, mostly due to the fact, that you know have an open town to cruise around and it should be on sale everywhere by now (seen it for 15,- € here in Germany already), so yes please, go and grab it !!!

how well do you find farcry coop to work? I remember trying it awhile ago with a buddy of mine at a lan and it did nothing but screw up... it was the first time ive ever played a 2nd person shooter... (what was on my screen did not at all reflect where or what i was doing, but i could watch myself in my buddies screen and play - i guess that would be kind of like 2nd person)

FarCry is working pretty well ...

admittedly, it took me a while to set it all up properly, so I guess a quick how-to could be helpfull:

1. install FarCry and update to v1.33
2. apply http://www.hamachi-games.sk/Download...ipfix_1.33.zip
3. install Cooperation Mod Av8.2
4. update with Cooperation Mod Av8 Update
5. in the server settings, reduce the bandwidth to 15kbit/s as a starting point

from there it should be working in general, if you experience any lag problems (eg. the client appears in different places thna he actually is), reduce the bandwidth even further

all I'm missing for now is an automatic level change, but that's ok so far

lastly, at some point of time, I had lost my HUD after applying a 9.3 alpha version of the coop mod, which rendered the game pretty useless, cos my aiming cross disappeared as well, but that got resolved by applying the 8.2 version in "repair" mode

if you feel lucky enough, you could try the COOP Mod Av9 Scripts 3 and tinker around with those and maybe you manage to get the level changes working ...
