and apparently there is an issue when trying to play online, that the demo asks for a cd key ...

no response fomr EA on that matter yet, but I'll have an eye on the according thread in EA's Most Wanted forum

wow ... what a ride it is ...

my personal favorite is the "must pass at least six police roadblocks and then evade" race, I could only mange to escape two times out of maybe a dozen attempts.

boy, those cops are really cruel at times ... LOL

That city district is very huge already and I wonder how big the whole town will be.

What I'm missing in the demo is LAN gaming, but it is said to be present in the full version.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get any informations about what multiplayer modes would be available, because all previews on the net were only talking about Drag, Sprint and Circuit without any note on something comparable to Outrun from NFS U2.

If they don't offer any form of free roaming in the city for multiplayer, it would be a major letdown in my opinion.

Anyways, it seems for PC there will be only the Black Edition available, which offers a few more tracks, cars and rides as well as a bonus DVD with behind the scenes footage.

I can't wait until it hits the stores on Nov 25th here, but maybe somebody from the US will take advantage form its earlier release on Nov 17th and could give us some insight on the final retail version ?

Hi Gang !

Apparently there are quite a few installation issues with this demo, but I found a reliable way to get it working anyways ...

- if the installer fails, goto the directory where the files got extracted to and manually unpack the compressed0.zip file to that directory as well (right-click > "extract here")

- launch "speedDemo.exe"

- if the Game complains it couldn't find DirectxX9.0c or higher, despite you're having it installed, goto the "DirectX" directory that got included in the demo and manually launch "DXSETUP.exe"

- launch "speedDemo.exe"

That did the trick on all machines that were refusing to run the installer so far ...
