  • Babylon 5: I’ve Found Her - Skirmish Pack

    Space Dream Factory release the Skrimish Pack for B5-IFH last week. It's a free game (Space Simulation) in the B5 universe.

    So far I wasn't able to play because it hangs my machine.
    Before I report it to the developers I would like to hear if someone has the same problem with the Parhelia based cards.
    If it works please submit some details about the driver and setup.

    Here is my video setup:
    ================
    Matrox Parhelia 128 - AGP 4x
    BIOS: 1.8-34
    Driver: 1.10.1.2 (on the MGA PowerDesk Info page (DXDiag says: 6.13.0001.1984))

    OS: WinXP - SP1
    DirectX: 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
    System: AMD Athon XP 2500+ (Barton core); 1GB RAM (Dual Channel setup - 2*512 MB)
    Desktop Setup: Dual Screen (=> 2* 1024x768 = 1 Display + 1 Function)
    Desktop Color: 16,7 Mio Colors
    Additional Settings: no Glyph-Aliasing; FAA-16x if requested by application; Texture filtering set by application

    Many thanks in advance!

    I played the demo of IFH and it re-created the "feel" of the series pretty well. Could get slightly freaky at times though...

      Well I also played the "old" version nearly two years ago, but I still can't get the current release working (I also tried window mode in the meantime - still no go).
      I have to check if the DX9 drivers work though.

        I've checked the DX9 drivers and it still doesn't work.
        The was able to get to the pilot menu after I disabled the cinematic/intro scenes with this entry in the "default.cfg" file (see "bin" directory):
        fl_showintro "0"

        After I selected the mission and the progress bar to load the data is finished I'm again stuck with the "crash/system freeze".
        I droped a note on the problem in the official B5-IFH forum (see "Technical Support").
        I also found a note about problems with Matrox cards in the "unoffical" FAQ:

        "IFH doesn't work correctly on Matrox graphic cards." - It should better say "..doesn't work.."

        I'm still waiting to see other reports. Please!

        [Edit] Added the text about Matrox problems from the unofficial FAQ
