Quake 4 Problem.

Got it fixed. The error wasnt game based at all. It was just a faulty hard-drive that needs replacement.



Game sends me back to main menu everytime i finish the Nexus hub Chapter.
Just when its loading Strogg Medical Facilities it just sends me back to main menu.
Right now ive tested upgrading ti ver 1.0.5 and now in trying a reinstall.

Nope did not help. Ive tried like everything.

most problems i read around with Q4 were caused by sound probs and/or old drivers. If you're sure you're up to date with everything with the drivers contact Activision.

Well seems that my harddrive is filled with errors so that isnt so good.
Now chkdsking and defragging and then gonna try it again.

I didn't think the Parhelia would play Q4. I have a 3GHz Prescott with 1 meg of RAM and it just passed the system test here (link below).

How well does Q4 work on the Parhelia and how much do you have to turn off to get it to work?

I'm amazed at how much RAM this game consumes. My buddy has 2gb of ram and when you check the process, quake4 takes up 1.8gb of RAM, apparently the more you have, the more it'll use.
