Has anyone had trouble getting sounds to play in Motorhead?

The sounds work okay for me.

There was problems with some soundcards in the early versions.
You can get the latest patch from their website:

my signature is my computer at home. I used it to play games up until just over a year and a half ago when i upgraded to a p200. that was one hell of a culture shock. now i just use it for micromachines 2 and fifa everysooften. point is, it still has its uses.
